Welcome to Young Members!

The YM group is here to maximize the AMC experience for 20 and 30-somethings
(and adults of all ages who still think they're 20 or 30-something).
Activities and social events are organized and attended by people like you, geared for the "younger" crowd.
Check out the
events listed below and our
Facebook group
to see what's going on.

Steph Chambers
(Co-Chair and Class II Leader)
I found the AMC through the Google search "Backpacking Workshop NH" and promptly signed up for the 2008 Spring Workshop at Cardigan Lodge. Then I began Hiking. And attending more AMC workshops, Concord Socials and listed hikes. Soon I was working on the NH48 and making plans to become an NH Trip Leader. In the Fall of 2010, I became a Class 2 Trip Leader and have had the opportunity to arrange hikes to amazing places in New Hampshire like the 1954 crash site on Mt. Success and Peak Above the Nubble via a huge slide thanks to my co-leader, Marc Howes. 2012 is going to be great! Let me know what you'd like to explore! |

Lora Claus
(Co-Chair, Manchester Social Host and Class II Leader)
The people I've met through Young Members have become my New Hampshire family. The warm welcome from leaders and members and the enthusiasm to share their passion for new activities makes the AMC very special. If someone had told me three years ago I'd be rock climbing and enjoying it, I'd never have believed it. I want to give that same warm welcome to new Young Members and introduce them to the people and activities that make the New Hampshire Chapter a great place to call home. |

Kaitrin Davis (Seacoast Social Host)
The AMC Young Members is the only place I've ever felt truly at home. |

Ross Garofalo
(Monadnock Social Host and Class I Leader)
Whether I'm teaching workshops at Cardigan Lodge, leading winter trips up Katahdin, or exposing beginners to the White Mountains for the first time, I love sharing my passion for the outdoors with others! I've met so many wonderful people through this group that it's absolutely amazing. We have so much fun and go on so many adventures that it has to be experienced to be believed. So what are you waiting for? Come out and give us a try!

John Green (Concord Social Host)
It's a blast being able to meet young people in the area that share similar interests. With many activities, both on and off the trail, Young Members is a wonderful way to socialize and learn more about the outdoors. |
